Episode 6: Discover how to organize your money better
Money is a tool of exchange that the whole planet uses, so it is necessary to learn about it from a young age, to discover its role, where it comes from, how it helps or confuses us in our everyday life.
A budding entrepreneur must become friends with money and its functions to be able to multiply it as easily and sustainably as possible!
We all use money every day to pay for products and services without asking ourselves what makes them so special.
We believe that today is the time to ask ourselves this question!
We invite you to watch with your child entrepreneur at a clip about what money actually is.
Continue the discussion with your child to better understand their roles.
Help him understand that we can divide the money we have into 4 categories, 4 piggy banks to be exact:
- Expenses – 40%
- Savings – 40%
- Investment – 10%
- Donation – 10%
Challenge him to answer the following questions based on his experiences with money so far:
- Do you remember a time when you donated money to someone? How did you decide how much to donate?
- What are the main expenses that our family has? What could you spend on?
- Have you ever wanted a pretty expensive item that took a while to save up for? But now, what would you like to save for?
Would you like your budding entrepreneur to pay attention to the value of money and organize it optimally?
Well, this is a long-term process and saving is a behavior that develops only through sustained practice!
- Print the sheet below that gives your child a chance to better organize their money
- Challenge him to set a realistic savings goal and make a plan together to achieve it
The message we want your child to leave with after this session is:
Money will flow in and out of your pockets throughout your life. No one can make money decisions for you – it's all up to you!
