Episode 1: Develop an Entrepreneurial Mindset

What is an entrepreneur?

It is a creative person who has the courage and confidence to develop a product / service and who then organizes and runs a business around that product / service, assuming the risk and profit.

What is the attitude of an entrepreneur? 

We live in a world where things are changing rapidly, where jobs we've never heard of are appearing, and newness and innovation are growing at an accelerated rate.

That is precisely why it is so important to develop in our children a set of life skills and a thought structure (mindset) to help them embrace all these challenges. 

It is fundamental to train children flexibility, resilience, the muscle of learning from mistakes, the power of innovation. Let's teach them to relate to the process and not just the result, to nurture their courage to do the things they believe in, to adapt to situations, to find new opportunities and to trust in their own strength. 

We invite you to watch the following video and discover together what the skills of the winning mouse are.

Continue the discussion with your child and help him understand more about entrepreneurial traits. You can ask him the following questions: 

• What did you notice that was different about the two mice?
• Which of them had a goal/dream that they pursued and what did they do for it?
• What are the superpowers that helped the winning mouse to find solutions?
• Which of these qualities would you like to develop? How? 

Do you want these skills in your child too? First-hand experience helps.

• Challenge him to think of/find an entrepreneur he admires and tell you about him. He can use the following questions as a guide in his presentation.
