The piggy bank is an extremely important "toy" in a child's life. It helps him appreciate the value of money, motivates him to save, work to collect more, and even solves certain behavioral problems, such as nervous breakdowns in stores.
Money should not be a taboo topic in discussions with the little ones. Teach them what their role is, how they are used, why they need to be considered and, why not, how they "multiply". It's good to know what those "promotions" are, why you make certain choices in stores, for example why you buy water at the supermarket and not at the restaurant.
