Speaking to the inner WHY

In a rapidly evolving world, equipping children with essential life skills goes beyond academics. While reading, writing and arithmetic remain essential, encouraging children to discover their personal 'why' can shape their lives in many positive ways. When the child understands his purpose and passion, personal growth occurs. In this article, we delve into why it's essential for children to explore and embrace their "why" and how it can benefit them in various aspects of life.

Encourages self-discovery:

By helping children to discover their motivation for doing certain things, we encourage them towards reflection and self-knowledge. By exploring passions, interests and values, children gain a deeper understanding of who they are as individuals. This process enables them to identify their strengths, weaknesses and unique qualities, enabling them to make informed decisions throughout their lives.

Cultivate intrinsic motivation:

When children are aware of themselves and what they want, they develop strong intrinsic motivation. Instead of relying solely on external rewards or pressures, they become motivated by their own personal interests and goals. This intrinsic motivation instills a sense of perseverance, determination and traits vital to success in any field.

It promotes the establishment and achievement of objectives:

Knowing their personal "why" helps children set meaningful goals that align with their passions and values. When goals are connected to their personal purpose, children are more likely to stay focused, overcome obstacles, and gain a sense of accomplishment.

„Walking your why” este un concept care subliniază importanța înțelegerii de către copii a scopului lor sau a motivului din spatele acțiunilor și alegerilor lor. Încurajarea copiilor să exploreze și să își identifice „de ce”-ul  insuflă un sentiment de direcție și motivație în viața lor. Atunci când copiii au o înțelegere clară a valorilor, pasiunilor și obiectivelor lor, ei devin mai concentrați, mai motivați și mai rezistenți în urmărirea viselor lor.

Ajutându-i pe copii să își descopere și să-și articuleze principiile și valorile interioare, le dăm posibilitatea de a face alegeri intenționate, aliniate cu cine sunt ei. Atunci când copiii au un simț puternic al scopului, este mai probabil să fie motivați intrinsec, să experimenteze un sentiment mai mare de împlinire și să persevereze în fața provocărilor.Când copiii sunt conștienți de scopul lor, este mai probabil să se angajeze în activități care le aduc bucurie și împlinire. Acest simț al scopului oferă o busolă de ghidare, ajutându-i pe copii să navigheze prin suișurile și coborâșurile vieții cu reziliență și o perspectivă pozitivă.
