What children learn at the free entrepreneurial education workshops in the Auchan Titan Shopping Center
KEN Academy is waiting for the little ones at free entrepreneurial education workshops in the Auchan Titan Shopping Center, on November 16, 2019.
The month of November comes to the Auchan Titan Shopping Center with workshops to challenge children to learn through play, to develop skills that will help them in life: how to plan and build a project, teamwork, presentation skills.
KEN Academy Educational Workshops they are built through pleasant and dynamic activities, according to the principle of experiential learning. Discovery and experience make information, concepts anchored in reality and retained by children. The children will carry out an applied project that will bring them as close as possible to real life.
The children will answer the question: "How do I build a project?"
- Is it important to have a plan or do we jump right into action? What are the steps of making a project? What elements do we need to take into account? What does teamwork mean? How do we choose our team roles? How do we coordinate with each other to achieve the desired outcome? How do we manage our money to purchase the materials needed to complete the project? How do we make a convincing presentation?
What you learn at the Workshops:
- The steps of making a project (whether we are talking about a project for school, a personal project or even a business). These skills can help your child even when they have homework to do: learn to break their homework down into smaller steps so homework doesn't feel like a never-ending chore.
- Learn to make a shopping list. The next time you go to the supermarket with him, let him make the shopping list, telling him what the end goal is, that is, what you need to shop for. Thus, he will learn to estimate quantities, costs and have a better understanding of the value of money.
- When you arrive at the store, divide into roles: each buys certain products.
- Children learn to receive and give change, thus developing their autonomy whenever they need to go and buy something from the store.
- Including household chores, you can use this role-sharing strategy
- Children discover what their superpowers are, what they are good at, and this will increase their confidence in their own abilities.
- After this workshop, children train their presentation skills: they learn to formulate coherent messages, to look the person they are talking to in the eye, to argue. These things are useful for them in school, in presenting a project and at any time in their daily life.
How does it unfold?
There will be three halves (70 minutes per half + 10 minute break between halves), and there will be 20-25 participants in each half.
Admitted age of participants: 8-12 years
