Why is entrepreneurship education important for children?
Is it important to start a business from childhood? Obviously not. But it is important to gain what entrepreneurship means, as early as possible. It's like when you can't see very well and you find the right glasses or your hearing is impaired and suddenly, by a miracle, you hear Vivaldi's music. Our world is the world of money, and the world of money is the world of business. As far back as 5,000 years ago, the Sumerians invented writing apparently not to write poems or to record nice things about their children, but to keep clear and indisputable information about taxes, payments and debts, or properties. And since then we keep the wheel on the steering wheel: we talk about "profitable" and money.
More than these understandings, entrepreneurship means objective, plan and observation. Once you've determined what you want to do, the next move is to define your competitive advantage and stay focused on it. You have to find something that the competition does not offer and that the customers want or need. That's how we talk in business terms, but isn't it exactly like in the group of friends when you want everyone to follow your game recommendation? To follow you in what you want to do?
We go back to business and we see that here we ask ourselves who are my customers? You observe them with all your senses to know exactly how they want your product. But let's think that they are your teachers, colleagues, neighbors, friends. Everyone is different and for everyone other things matter. You want them as allies, and then it's good to learn to observe them when you're young, to identify their values and address them in appropriate ways without the product - that is, the person itself - becoming something else. Yes, here could be the key to success, it's fixed just like in business.
But it's all for nothing if we don't put the icing on the cake – the customer must have heard of you. To know that you and your product exist. That is, to communicate in a language understood by the consumer. In everyday life, we communicate with each other through words but also through gestures. There are even books - dictionaries that "translate" gestures, tell us what we convey through mimicry. And then how can it not be useful to learn about entrepreneurship? It does nothing but give you explanations and show you how to be understood correctly by those around you.
Young people have ideas, they have passions that can be turned into business. It is important to have a goal. And courage. And a little guidance. Not money, as some people think. And when their passion is validated by buyers, confidence in their own strength is high. And the joy of selling exceeds that of profit.
The pro-entrepreneurship arguments can continue, but the moral of the story is only one: in business it's like in life, in the end you have to know that you earned more than you consumed, to be able to give more than you receive.
