Episode 4: Learn to Introduce Yourself and Make a Good Impression

Every child or adult must know how to present themselves in the most attractive way possible. 

Whether or not your child becomes an entrepreneur, knowing how to present himself will help him, whether to win a job, develop partnerships, gain more attention or support his own ideas

Feeling relaxed when he has to present himself will give him more courage in his own strength!

Our brain forms an impression of someone in the first 7 seconds after meeting him/her. 

We invite you both to look at a clip about 7 ways you can make a good first impression.

Continue the discussion with your child about his presentation skills. 

Give them support in identifying them, but also the reasons why it is important to practice and develop them. 

Also, discuss together the advantages he can have in the future if he is a good speaker.

You can ask him the following questions: 

• What is the first thing you would like to introduce about yourself to someone you don't know?
• What are your pasions? What do they say about you?
• When a colleague of yours makes a presentation about him, what makes you pay attention to him?

Do you want the budding entrepreneur next to you to present themselves as authentically and fearlessly as possible every time they are in the context of doing so? Experimentation helps!

• Print the handout below that summarizes the 7 essential traits of a successful introduction when meeting someone for the first time. Challenge him to read them carefully and make his own presentation, taking our advice into account.   

Do you think maybe more? Do you want to make him aware of what a successful presentation really means?

• Invite him video the presentation and then watch the video together. Then talk about how it can improve his speech.

If he's feeling really challenged and passionate about the theme, you can repeat the process until you're both happy with the end result.
