Carmen Iorgulescu - psychologist, trainer and KEN Academy coordinator - speaks about the importance of financial education for children, during the Conference "Free education or free education? 2018"<\/strong>, which takes place at the Pullman Hotel in Bucharest, on May 19, from 10:00 a.m. The organizer of the event is Mozaic Media.<\/p>\n

Children's financial education is not only about money, but rather has to do with the formation of beliefs and values for life. Romania ranks last in financial literacy in Europe, with only 22% of Romanians having a minimum of financial knowledge, and this is reflected in lives burdened by installments and debts and full of financially uninspired choices.<\/p>\n

What and when do we tell children about money? How do we prepare them to become financially responsible adults? How can we, as adults, reset our relationship with money?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Carmen Iorgulescu, psychologist, trainer, KEN Academy coordinator, Oana Moraru, educational consultant and founder of Helikon private school, Adrian Asoltanie, trainer, speaker and entrepreneur for almost 20 years, and G\u00e1sp\u00e1r Gy\u00f6rgy, psychologist, author and custodian of life stories and the man who started the #RRelational Revolution in Romania, will try to provide answers to these questions, during the Conference "Free education or free education? 2018".<\/p>\n

We, the parents, are the first "specialists" for our children, in any field, including the financial one. Mom and dad familiarize them with the notion of money and its importance, developing them with a quotient of financial intelligence. This resource helps children develop their autonomy, learn to manage their piggy bank wisely, regardless of whether they have accumulated small or large amounts in it.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is therefore very important to guide this educational process, choosing words, behaviors and balanced attitudes towards financial subjects.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

From my experience as an educational guide for children and as Andrei's mother, I have noticed that their small entrepreneurial projects awaken in them feelings of fulfillment and dignity, of the conviction that they have done something with their powers and skill.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
