It is valuable to involve the little ones in the Christmas preparations and to increase their autonomy through different activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To help our family stay happy and healthy this festive season, here are some nutritious Christmas snacks that kids can make right at home.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Fruit Santa Claus<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kids will love these easy Santas made with strawberries, bananas, ricotta cheese (or yogurt) for a beard, and black frosting for eyes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All we have to do is wash the strawberries and remove the leaves before cutting them in half. The base (pointed end) is used for Santa&#039;s hat and the other half forms the foundation, so we&#039;ll need to cut this part again to make sure it&#039;s flat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After we place the flat sides of the strawberries on a tray, the children place ricotta cheese or yogurt on top to represent the beard. Next, we cut the bananas into pieces to create the face and place it on top of the strawberry pieces. The children then arrange the kiwi, strawberries and cranberries on top of the yogurt and put it in the freezer for about four hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the yogurt is completely frozen, it can be cut to serve.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Yummy Snowman Snacks\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This nutritious snowman snack is made with rice cakes, cream cheese, raisins, and red and orange bell peppers (or carrots).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is easy to assemble and little kids can do it themselves. I simply spread the cream cheese over the rice cake and add raisins for eyes.
